Could I change the engine of my 1989 Mazda 929 to one from a newish Toyota Camry, for example?

Really love my old 929 but just wondering how practical it would be to do this. A newish engine with a decent bit of grunt would be great but would it involve too much chopping and changing of everything else?Could I change the engine of my 1989 Mazda 929 to one from a newish Toyota Camry, for example?Can't practicaly be done. What I would recomend for you is to put in a rebuilt engine, then maybe a K%26amp;N filter kit and maybe a header if one is made for your car, run some good spark plugs, then it will run good.
