The Tips for oil change service?

I'm going to change engine oil for my friend's car. only oil change, no any maintenance else.

I don't know how much tips I should offer them?

ThanksThe Tips for oil change service?dont offer them anything. Most oil technitions are paid ok by the hour. And extra for sales. If you want to leave a tip i would ask how many guys are working and leave each one a $1. Normally depending on where you go most places have about 5 guys working at a time. Tell them to get a pop or somethingThe Tips for oil change service?I use drive up ramps to have easy access under my car. Put on the parking brake when you have it up there. Also remeber to clean the mating surfaces of teh oil filter , the engine block part with a rag looking for left over gasket and burnt oil and the filter needs a smal amount of oil placed on the rubber gasket to soften it up. Also , the oil flows freely if the fill cap is removed and slower with it on.The Tips for oil change service?Ramps, parking brake!! yes......

Drain the oil first into the drain pan, take the filter off and let that drain.... replace the filter (if you can, fill the filter up with oil, and DO NOT FORGET to oil the filters gasket... this is to make sure the gasket doesn't stick and make sure the old filter gasket came off with it)

DO NOT forget the drain plug..... I'd put this back in as soon as the oil is drained.... let the oil drain for maybe 20 minutes.

Fill it back up with the correct amount (owners manual) and let it sit for a couple minutes and check the oil level to make sure.

The oil filter... good name brand like purolator or wix, not fram...

Make sure its tight, about a turn or turn and a half after its seated.

Oil.... any good name brand 5w-30 will do.
