The engine is not the only thing that requires maintenance in a vehcile; and engines are one of the components which require least maintenance; at all times, maintenance to the engine is almost always predictable.
The short answer to the question is %26quot;yes%26quot;; but it really does not leave you any wiser, does it?? So here we go.
You will need to change all parts which connect to the engine - the gear box, the transmission, the speedometer, the Tacho/RPM meter, the flywheel assembly, the alternators, and if the new engine is more noisy, you will need to insulate the engine bay also. Heavier engines of course, will require stiffer suspension also.
In short, you will end up paying more that what you will be paying for maintenance.

I don't think there is any difficulty to maintain this vehicle, but now, the availability of the spare parts may be difficult. I dont think there is any problem with the engine, because the same engine still continues in sumo. Then why do you want to change the engine?.
