I have changed so many vw engins its not even funny. A vw engin and transmission only have 4 mounts that hold them in. And they don't break real easy like that other guy said they are maid of steel and vary tough rubber. U just have to unhook all the wires and hoses shifter linkage. Pull out the radiator and fan then hook a cherry picker up to it take off the motor mounts and pull the motor and tranni out. It's so easy Me and my step dad have changed vw engins in one day before it's not hard.
