How much is it to change my engine ?

i had a celica st 1990 1.8litter, live in NC, want to change engine because lack of power to accelerate. it is a automatic trying to sell it but no one want it because of what i say..lack of power...How much is it to change my engine ?Couple grand, if you own a telephone, I'd suggest using it and making some phone calls and get quotes.
