Help with Harley engine change?

Right my mate has swapped his 99plate 883 engine out and put in a tuned 1200 engine from a 95 plate bike. Now the engine turns over fine but no spark. Tried both the original timing gear and a crane cams one to no effect. Suspect the problem may be with the bank angle sensor as no hole on 95 engine to put it in ! Does anyone know how to bypass sensor or got any other ideas ? 3 hour job into second day now....Help with Harley engine change? As Bob A said....you will have to swap out the ENTIRE igntion system, including the wiring harnesses. The BAS is wired into the ignition system, which is wired throughout the ENTIRE wiring harness of the bike.

Your best bet is to totally eliminate the JUNK HD ignition system anyway, especially if you have a peformance engine, HD's ignition is extremely weak with a junk advance curve and timing.

Install a Daytona Twin Tec SINGLE FIREignition system WITH coil and wires, with THEIR...VOES which is pre-adjusted to turn on at 6 inches of vacuum, instead of the stock 3.5-4.5. Follow the Twin Tec dirctions for the advance curve for the level of mods to the engine, set the rev limit to 6200 for stock springs, 7000 for performance springs, and set the overall timing (by turning the plate) to 32 degrees...timing mark in line with the front of the hole.
