How difficult would it be to change a 6cyl engine out with a 4 cyl?

I have a ranger with a 6cyl engine. I want the fuel economy and dont need the power. How easy would it be to put a 4 cyl in it? has anyone done this?How difficult would it be to change a 6cyl engine out with a 4 cyl?I have a Ranger with a six cylinder. My son has a Ranger with a four cylinder. I get better gas mileage than he does.



It is actually any easy swap.
