How hard is it to change the rear engine mount on a 1990 Peugeot 205 GTi 1.9?

I have just bought a Miami blue 1.9 gti 205 and the seller told me it needs the rear engine mount doing and supplied me with one. I cant feel anything wrong nor does there seem to be too much juddering but how easy is it to change the rear engine mount? ThanksHow hard is it to change the rear engine mount on a 1990 Peugeot 205 GTi 1.9?the rear mounting on this car is bit of a ***** to change . first you need to take the drivers side drive shaft out as it runs thro the engine mount. then there is 4 bolts holding the unit in place ( take the whole alloy block out cos u need to use a press to get the new one in ) look at this pic on this website on item number 3 in the bottom left hand corner is the part that im talking about - (

) i know its a long link but its from a genuine opeugeot parts catalogue . once you got the bracket out the doughnut shaped rubber mounting needs to be pressed out and the new one then pressed in cos its a very tight fit .

its a common problem on peugeot especially if they have had an oil leak cois the oil rots the rubber and it does give a lot of engine movement once its worn .

hope this helpsHow hard is it to change the rear engine mount on a 1990 Peugeot 205 GTi 1.9?Not to hard if you have a basic knowledge of the car ;;just remember to disconnect the exhaust before you loossen the bolts ;it makes it easier to jack up to release the mounting. How hard is it to change the rear engine mount on a 1990 Peugeot 205 GTi 1.9?Just jack up the engine ,using a piece of wood (as not to damage the sump)

then you can do the job easily.they should not be to much judder , only really on set off!
